Carolina Village provides space for the Village Treasures to display and resell household goods. These include furniture, clothing, kitchenware, art work, etc. This facility is called “Village Treasures”; it is operated by a committee of the Residents Council. Village Treasures receives donations from residents, families of residents, and individuals who are on the wait list for Carolina Village. These goods are sold at very attractive prices to both residents and Carolina Village staff.
All funds generated by these resales go the Residents Council treasury. All Residents Council funds are used to fund resident activities and to fund special projects that enhance the quality of life of our residents.
Some of the resident activities which these funds support include:
- Village Library
- Hospitality Committee
- Entertainment programs
- Flowers for the common spaces
- Landscaping
- Resident Education programs
- Photography
Please consider donation of furniture, art work, kitchenware, clothing, etc., to Village Treasures any time you are downsizing or disposing of household goods. This request is to any resident, future resident, or relative of a resident.
