First, Carolina Village is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. That means a lot of things. Most importantly, it means that local folks who care deeply about long-term living in western North Carolina sit on our volunteer Board of Directors. There, they roll up their sleeves and carry on our legacy.
A group of locals with a big idea, our founders had the vision for Carolina Village. With hard work, they made it a reality. Today, our Board continues that same mission by:
- Providing long-term planning for the future of the Village;
- Participating actively involved in major projects;
- Establishing operating policies in conjunction with management; and
- Providing oversight of financial and operational activities.
The Carolina Village Board includes those with diverse talents, experiences, backgrounds, and insights. You may even recognize a Director or two. These are the same leaders who continue to make Henderson County the vibrant, welcoming community it is.
We designate two seats on our Board specifically for current Village residents. In this way, we include the collective resident voice in key decision making. After all, the Village has always been here to serve those who call it home.
Meanwhile, the management team is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Village. They implement the Board’s policies.
Together, the Board, residents, and staff ensure that the Village has a rock-solid foundation. They ensure that the Village is a welcoming place to call home… And that it will be for generations to come.
