Carolina Village Announces Wage Increase for All Hourly Positions

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. — Carolina Village and its Board of Directors are excited to announce a wage increase for all hourly staff members effective Jan. 9, 2022, with additional increases scheduled at each service anniversary after 2022.

Additionally, in response to employee feedback, the company implemented a flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) Bank for each employee effective Jan. 1, 2022. In this improved program, employees can use PTO however they wish. Even better, employees will accrue additional PTO hours each additional year of service. This PTO is in addition to the eight holidays that the Village observes.

“The COVID pandemic has affected every person and business in new and unexpected ways, including economy-wide staffing challenges and financial challenges,” said Kevin Parries, Executive Director. “We know that our team members have worked extra hard this year, so we did a comprehensive review of our compensation packages to ensure that our employees felt valued. They are the backbone of Carolina Village. This announcement is the latest in a series of investments in our team.”

The new wage structure incorporates additional increases beyond the standard, including shift and weekend differentials, with higher starting hourly rates for roles such as CNAs, dietary servers, and housekeepers.

Carolina Village has a longstanding commitment to workforce development. These programs are in addition to the Village’s comprehensive benefits, which include health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, short-term disability insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan with company match, and more.
