Dining

There are few things better than great food and wonderful friends in a beautiful setting. Enjoy them all every day at Carolina Village.

Imagine having your favorite restaurant within walking distance of your home…

where fellow diners toss up their hands in a friendly wave and staff members know how you prefer your morning coffee with your a la carte breakfast.

With several dining venues available, residents can meet friends for a fine dining experience and an ever-changing menu crafted by our very own culinary team or sit back and take in a casual dining experience full of laughter and delicious food.

No matter what you’re in the mood for, as a resident, you are sure to find it. Whether you’re feeling under the weather and would like room service, are in a hurry and need something to go or would like to take advantage of our flexible hours, or have an upcoming party which you’d like to have us cater in our private dining room, at Carolina Village, our staff members are happy to cater to your unique everyday needs.

Our nutritionist works with our culinary team to ensure that if you need a special diet, it is just as flavorful and delicious as the rest of our menu. Though it would be hard to find as wonderful a dining experience as that at Carolina Village, we even offer residents partial reimbursement to those who choose to eat at participating restaurants outside of our beautiful community.

Choose when, where, and what for every meal when you dine in excellence at Carolina Village.

Scroll over our dining venue names to learn more:

  • 74 Main

A traditional dining option with tableside service, this venue is most like our previous Main Dining Room experience. A sample menu includes Filet Mignon, Crabcakes, Chophouse Soup, Honey Orange Pots de Crème, and Pinot Grigio. This is where residents bring important guests – like their families – for a lovely, high-end meal.

  • Silos

The fast-casual, order-at-the-counter-and-have-a-seat restaurant is a favorite for get-togethers with friends and family. Residents can grab a sandwich or, our favorite, a melt-in-your-mouth custom pizza, an oatmeal raisin cookie, and a soft drink. Looking out the floor-to-ceiling windows, residents are looking out to where the old silos, its namesake, used to stand.

  • The One-Legged Goose

Our bar is named after one of our most popular residents, a goose who lost her leg to a snapping turtle many years ago. Unlike their friends, she and her partner over-winter at the Village. If your feathers are ruffled, come have a drink and some quackers with us!

  • Peaberries

With coffee, specialty drinks, and small bites available, residents and staff can choose between grab-and-go and sit-and-chat in the cozy coffeehouse-esque nook neighboring our Fireplace Lounge. It’s quite busy on cold mornings, when the fire is roaring in the fireplace and the warmth is in the smiles of those patrons’ faces.

  • Journeys

Not quite open yet, we call this “destination dining”, but residents will call the revolving international menu “wonderful”! The physical space will literally change to match the menu at any given time. For example, if the cuisine is Chinese, diners will be overlooking the Great Wall. Ah, the magic of technology.

As a resident, you have choices for eating delicious meals, snacks, and desserts.

The only problem you may have is deciding on just what to eat. With a large variety available, you’ll have to choose between hand-prepared sandwiches, colorful and locally-sourced salads, and steaming, delicious entrees.

No matter what you choose, you’ll be amongst friends. Meet neighbors for happy hour. Sip your morning coffee at the bar. Grab a book or newspaper and learn the latest over another wonderful meal served up by our accommodating dining staff. Treat a friend who does not live at Carolina Village to a meal with you.

Best of all, you can dine at any of our venues as much as you’d like. They’re all included in our declining balance meal plan.

Dine how you like, when you like, when you call Carolina Village home.
