When
Carolina Village was
built in 1974, a shelter was built on the hill overlooking the
Village. An engraved stone was located in the
shelter. When
the cottages were constructed in 2003, the shelter was
removed. The stone, however, survived and is now located in
the woods across from the Meadows cottages.
