Carolina Village Inc. is a North Carolina incorporation that is non-stock and nonprofit. We are a Type A Lifecare Continuing Care Retirement Community governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Since opening in June of 1974, we have offered the FULL continuum of care from independent living to skilled care and assisted living.
The LifeCare Promise
At the very foundation of our services, our amenities, our activities, and certainly at the care we render is the LifeCare promise. We are a Type A Lifecare community. The difference between a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) and a LifeCare community is the contract type. Many CCRCs provide higher levels of care using outside contracting healthcare agencies, often located off-site. LifeCare services are all on one campus at Carolina Village - you will not be forced to move if you exhaust your resources. Under the LifeCare contract, your care will be subsidized by the community.
Peace Of Mind
The main difference between a CCRC and a LifeCare community is a promise of lifetime care at no additional monthly cost to you - even if you deplete your finances. As residents need additional care such as assisted living or skilled nursing, they will have it with no reduction in quality of care or in priority.
